The Christ Volume 1 eBook Ben Avery Sergio Cariello

The birth of Jesus Christ to the virgin Mary.
The Christ Volume 1 eBook Ben Avery Sergio Cariello
I bought this book because I had already acquired a beautifully done comic on Bible history from this same company. Just like with the first book, I was not the least bit disappointed. The art work is superb, and the story of the birth of our savior is done a lot of justice here. There are a few small details done a little differently-the wise men are shown to have visited Jesus as a very small boy instead of a baby, and the angels are not depicted as they are traditionally. Both situations are just as plausible if you think about it. I plan on getting volumes two and three of this serious right away. I also plan on looking to King Stone comics for future Christ centered entertainment.Product details

The Christ Volume 1 eBook Ben Avery Sergio Cariello Reviews
It was refreshing to see that this story depicts angels the way the Bible describes and not how most kids picture books do. They were masculine beings, not weak and girly. Also, while most people believe there were three wise men, the Bible really doesn't say. It only tells us there were three gifts. It was nice to see that this comic went against the grain to teach the truth.
The illustrations were beautifully done. I was given a paperback version for free in exchange for an honest review. The pages are thick and glossy. It's a sturdy, well-made comic book. This is the second in the series I've read, I started with Esther and liked this one much more. There were only small liberties taken. For instance, among the shepherds was a boy and his grandfather. Some of the minor characters were given names. And Mary sent Joseph out to fetch a midwife. According to the culture of the time this could have happened even though it wasn't mentioned in the Bible.
I can tell there was a tremendous effort to keep this with the Bible. I can't see any specific denominational teachings in it either. I really like this series. I'll be reading volume 2 next. Note It looks like they changed the cover art at some point. Mine has a heavenly host of angels on the front. Not sure which one was first.
I love the idea of books like these; graphic novels to get a very important message across. I think for boys especially this type of book will really grab their attention and teach them the most important thing they could ever learn.
This book is volume 1 and there are more after. And other stories like this.
I would say this is geared toward upper elementary age or middle school. There is some verbiage that would need to be discussed. Mary states plainly that she is a virgin. So unless you’re ready to have that conversation with your child you might want to wait until he or she is a bit older and they understand what that means.
As a mom to a boy I am very excited about these books and can’t wait until my son is a bit older. I think these are books that will connect with him and he will enjoy.
A copy of this book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.
very good.thanks
Great!
Great collection, recommended.
I had this sent to my 14-year old grandson who lives very far away. He said he really enjoyed reading about the Bible this way.
great series
